* In the Battle of Chaldiran in 1514 against the expansion of the empire of the Iranian Safavid dynasty, the forces of the emirates and Kurdish tribes were greater in number than the Janissaries in the army of Sultan Yavuz Selim.
* It is more correct to look at the wars taking place in the lands of Kurdistan during the era of the Seljuk, Ayyubid, and Ottoman dynasties, as they were often wars fought by the Kurds against the occupying forces.
