The PKK’s primary role in the new phase differs from its former phase. In addition to reviving the ideological influence that is prevalent in the group’s ideological stage and its political influence, primarily in the context of operations and war, it must transform the acquired Kurdish identity and the aspiration for a free life into the building of a democratic nation.
