Across the streets and public squares of North and East Syria, as well as in Aleppo, people expressed profound joy and were deeply moved by Ocalan’s words. They emphasized that his message renewed their commitment to the cause of his physical freedom, which they consider an uncompromisable demand and an essential condition for achieving a just and peaceful future in the region.
“A Historic Address and a Call for Peace”
Mais Shasho from Aleppo described Ocalan’s address as “historic after 26 years of total isolation,” noting that his message carried profound sentiments of dignity and humanity.
