Erdoğan: Let’s not waste the window of opportunity
Following a cabinet meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of the parliamentary commission, saying: “Let’s stop the bloodshed together, let’s ease the pain and wipe away the tears.”

The cabinet meeting chaired by AKP Chair and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex in Beştepe has concluded. Speaking afterward, Erdoğan drew attention to the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission established in Parliament in the context of the Kurdish peace process.
“Last week, a meaningful step was taken on the path toward this goal,” Erdoğan said, adding: “This commission, established with the participation of opposition parties, is highly valuable in terms of ensuring that our Parliament, the embodiment of the national will, takes ownership of the process. We are pleased to see this ownership taking place. Another promising development was that the commission’s decisions were taken unanimously. We hope this constructive approach will continue.”
Emphasizing unity and solidarity, Erdoğan said: “This state belongs to each and every one of the 86 million people, Turk, Kurd, Arab alike.” He continued: “We are all rightful owners of the Republic of Turkey. Even though our lifestyles, political views, and ideas differ, this fact does not change. In a matter that concerns the peace and future of all 86 million people, we value everyone’s support, contributions, and constructive criticism. A window of opportunity has opened for Turkey. The price of wasting it would be heavy. The commission will fulfill its duties in line with our nation’s expectations. We are giving it every possible support.”
Erdoğan noted that last Friday, the Ministers of National Defense and Interior, along with the Head of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), had given a comprehensive briefing to the commission members, and he called on everyone: “Let’s stop the bloodshed together, let’s ease the pain and wipe away the tears
