Woman IDPs from Afrin express desire to meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan
Displaced women from Afrin expressed their desire to meet leader Abdullah Ocalan and affirmed their continued struggle until his physical freedom is achieved.

Following the historic “Peace and Democratic Society” call made by leader Abdullah Ocalan on February 27th of this year, the European Freedom and Peace Forum launched an international campaign in June under the slogan “I Want to Meet Abdullah Ocalan.”
In this context, displaced women from Afrin expressed their wish to meet the leader. Amal Qahraman mentioned that meeting him is their primary demand, stating: “When we watched the footage of leader Abdullah Ocalan, our determination to achieve his physical freedom increased. The leader, with his thought and philosophy, represents not only the Kurds but the whole world, because his ideas are universal.”

Amina Hussein said: “Meeting the leader is my wish and the wish of all the Kurdish people. His thought and philosophy are the solution to all the problems of the world.”
Jihan Ibrahim explained that her wish is for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan to be realized, and to meet him. She continued, saying: “The leader liberated us, the women, from slavery and darkness, so we will continue the struggle until his physical freedom is achieved.”

In conclusion, Gulistan Ali said: “Our struggle and resistance are for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan. Human rights organizations must break their silence regarding his detention and the isolation imposed on him, and work towards achieving his physical freedom.”
